Lisa Rutter's professional Web design experience spans half a decade. Her most recent position as Webmaster at Carnegie Learning, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA charged her with overseeing the corporate website as well as the Intranet. As a member of a small team of developers, Lisa helped to build the site using ColdFusion and SQL Server 7 databases. Her duties as Webmaster included acting as a liaison between the departments to ensure the content was up-to-date, marketing the website online, positioning the website in major search engines, and building strategic partnerships with other sites. Lisa was also responsible for maintaining a K-12 On-Line Teacher's Community. A portion of her duties included research of emerging technologies and their potential application for Carnegie Learning's needs.

When Lisa relocated to the Pittsburgh area she became Web Director at Zoltun Studios on the South Side. Lisa was responsible for all aspects of Website development, production and programming. She worked closely with the graphic designers to produce high impact highly stylized Websites.

As the award winning Webmaster for the Berks County Intermediate Unit, Lisa created and maintained Websites for various organizations and municipalities in the Berks County area. She also assisted teaching computer software courses to K-12 educators, conducted seminars for Website Design and ran a county wide Help Desk. Lisa made sure the sites she designed were presented to the community in a comprehensive and user-friendly way including making sure the web sites were ADA Compliant.

The last project she worked on while at the BCIU was a web site for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (www.pastatestandards.org). Lisa was responsible for soliciting information from eighteen Intermediate Units across the state and overseeing a small support staff.

In November of 1999 Lisa was recognized by the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development for outstanding contribution to Education.

Lisa has completed Microsoft Certified training for FrontPage 98 and Internet Information Server 4.0 and has had training with Allaire Cold Fusion. She is always looking for ways to improve or expand her skills and knowledge of Internet technology and incorporate new trends into sites when appropriate. Currently, Lisa is studying XML, Java and Actionscript languages.
