Carnegie Learning Inc.

Currently, I am the Webmaster for Carnegie Learning Inc. The site has been built using a team of people including; outside graphic designers who are responsible for our corporate image, a team of ColdFusion programmers and myself. I am the administrator for the site. My duties include, acting as a liaison between the departments to ensure the content is up-to-date, marketing the website online, positioning the website in major search engines, and building strategic partnerships with other sites.

Zoltun Studios Inc.
Zoltun Studios
Rick Zoltun had a very specific vision for the ZSI site. The site reflects a "High Adventure" theme used as a metaphor for the different departments at ZSI. One of the challenges faced when building this site was how to incorporate the navigation into the graphic elements. Hidden Layers and DHTML were used in order to have a navigation image map appear when a visitor clicked on the compass. A separate site had to be developed using more traditional text link navigation to accommodate older browsers. Visit the Current site
O'Toole Printing
O'Toole Printing
The inspiration for the design of this site came from founder Larry O'Toole. Larry started his printing business long before computers played any role in the process. ZSI developed the interface for the site to reflect the traditional printer's crop marks and layout. O'Toole's site has a complex arrangement of tables to accommodate the layout.
Crown Mobile Systems
Crown Mobile Systems
This site has a clean, fast-loading approach. Crown didn't want the graphic elements to take away from the service and products they sell. In order to add "zing" to the site, a JavaScript image effect was used on the David Clark page. Rollovers and sound enhance this area of the site.
Century III Home Equity
Century III Home Equity
Century III wanted a look that would make visitors sit up and take notice. The entrance to the site takes visitors through a Macromedia Flash commercial before reaching the home page. This is ZSI's most successful and busiest sites to date.
PA State Standards Project
PA State Standards
This site was created in conjunction with the PA Department of Education as a repository for lesson plans and other teacher aids for implementing Standards Based Education. 18 Intermediate Units in Pennsylvania were commissioned to provide content for the site. Strict adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act was used in order to make the information accessible to all visitors.
Eastern Shore Physician's Network
Eastern Shore Physicians Network
I was approached by a coworker at BCIU to develop this site. The key point in the design of this site was to enable easy editing because the client was going to take over the maintenance and updates. The biggest challenge was to take a spread sheet and break it down into HTML so that the client could easily update info.

Maxatawny Township
Maxatawny Township

Maxatawny Township has a rich Native American history and incorporates it into the website. The Township Administrator wanted an easy to use site that would contain information for the residents. This site was produced while I was with the Berks County Intermediate Unit. (Site has been redesigned.)

Berks Counseling Center
Berks Counseling Center

Berks Counseling Center had a very small budget but very specific ideas about the design of the site. I worked closely with the organization's executive director to produce an easy to use and attractive site... Under budget.

Berks County Intermediate Unit
Berks County Intermediate Unit

I was the webmaster at Berks County Intermediate Unit for over two years. I worked on the company website as well as sites for non-profit organizations within the county. I also assisted teaching computer classes and ran a county wide help desk.

PA Wing Chun Kung Fu
PA Wing Chun

This was a fun site I created for a co-worker while at BCIU. The sound of the gong announces the Sifu's readyness to teach.
